The Denver Ballet Guild makes a significant impact on the dance community by awarding grants to professional dance companies, by providing financial scholarships for young dancers and by offering dance education. The Guild's goals include promoting excellence in performance and increasing the size of dance audiences.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMS – Denver Ballet Guild works with professional dance companies to provide exciting and innovative dance presentations to school age children in the Denver metropolitan area. Each year about 20,000 children are able to experience the magic of dance, and for many, this may be their first exposure to the world of dance.
SHOWCASE of DANCE – Denver Ballet Guild organizes an event designed to introduce children to the excitement of live dance performances in a theater. Arrangements are made with area schools to bring the children to the theater where they see some of Denver's finest dance companies. Curriculum information describing the content of the performances is sent to the schools to prepare the children for this experience.
